Vehicle Technician £32,000 Basic Salary | OTE Dependent on Experience & Sold Hours Southend Permanent | Full Time Monday to Friday: 8:30am – 5:30pm 1 in 4 Saturdays – Rota Basis Our client, a busy and well-established main dealership in Southend, is looking for an experienced Vehicle Technician to join their large and professional workshop team. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified Technician looking to join a well-supported workshop with a strong team structure and genuine earning potential. OTE can vary depending on experience and the number of hours sold. Duties & Responsibilities * Carry out servicing, maintenance and mechanical repairs to a high standard. * Diagnose and repair vehicle faults where required. * Complete work efficiently and accurately in line with manufacturer and dealership standards. * Maintain high levels of workmanship and attention to detail. * Work closely with Workshop Control, Service Advisors and Parts Advisors. * Communicate effectively with the wider workshop team regarding vehicle requirements. * Complete jobs within agreed timescales and maintain productivity. * Carry out all work in accordance with health and safety procedures. Your Background & Skills * Previous experience as a Vehicle Technician within the motor trade. * Main dealership experience is preferred, although experienced candidates from independent garages will also be considered. * Strong mechanical and servicing skills. * Good attention to detail and pride in your workmanship. * Ability to work efficiently in a busy workshop environment. * Good communication and teamwork skills. * Relevant technical qualifications are advantageous. * Full UK Driving Licence. What's on Offer? * £32,000 Basic Salary * OTE dependent on experience and sold hours. * Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 5:30pm. * 1 in 4 Saturdays on a rota basis. * Saturday working is included within the contract and is not paid as overtime. * Large workshop team consisting of 14 Technicians. * Established Aftersales operation with 3 Parts Advisors, 5 Service Advisors, Front of House Manager, Service Manager and Workshop Manager. * Supportive and structured working environment.
