Vehicle Technician

A leading independent dealership in Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire, is seeking an experienced Vehicle Technician to join their expanding team. Benefits: Competitive basic salary between £40,000 and £45,000, negotiable for an exceptional Vehicle Technician No weekend working, providing a healthy work-life balance Stable, long-term employment with a reputable employer Modern, purpose-built workshop environment Friendly and supportive team atmosphere Opportunity to work on a wide range of modern vehicles, including electric and hybrid models Chance to utilise advanced diagnostic tools and techniques Opportunity for career progression within a growing service departmentVehicle Technician Duties: Conduct vehicle servicing and routine maintenance Perform advanced diagnostics and fault finding on various vehicle systems Carry out mechanical repairs including brakes, suspension, tyres, and air conditioning Prepare vehicles for MOT testing and assist with general workshop duties Identify additional work and provide accurate technical feedback Ensure all work is completed efficiently, to a high standard and in compliance with manufacturer guidelines Work collaboratively as part of a skilled workshop team to meet service standardsRequirements: Level 3 qualification in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair or equivalent Extensive hands-on experience with modern vehicles Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills Experience working on petrol, diesel, hybrid, and electric vehicles is highly desirable MOT Tester Licence would be advantageous but is not essential Professional approach with excellent attention to detail Ability to work independently, take responsibility, and manage tasks efficiently Stable employment history with a genuine desire for long-term commitment Strong understanding of health and safety regulations in the workshop environmentThis Vehicle Technician role is ideal for an individual who has moved beyond routine servicing and fast-fit work and is confident in handling complex diagnostics and mechanical repairs.
