North Devon Council is seeking an ambitious, creative and commercially minded Town Centre Venue & Asset Manager to lead the operation and development of two of Barnstaple's most important cultural and community assets:
Barnstaple Pannier Market
and
Boutport Studios
.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a leading role in the ongoing regeneration of Barnstaple town centre, helping to create a thriving cultural destination that supports local businesses, artists, residents and visitors. You will be responsible for
both the
day-to-day
management of the assets as well as
delivering the vision and business plans for both venues
;
growing income, developing innovative programming, supporting tenants and traders, and building strong partnerships across the cultural and community sectors. If you're experienced in venue, cultural or place management and want to make a lasting impact, we'd love to hear from you. You will need to
have : Educat
ion
to degree standard or above, or
have
equivalent experience Experience of managing
venues,
markets, cultural or hospitality
spaces
,
including
business planning and operating a commercially successful venue Experience managing budgets and delivering business objectives Experience developing partn
erships and stakeholder relationships Experience planning and delivering events, cultural activities or
community

grammes Experience supervising and developing staff Ability to work flexibly
