At inspiring vet care, our people are at the heart of everything we do. As the UK’s number one vet care provider, we're trusted with the care of over 2 million animals, delivering our purpose of healthier animals and happier owners.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Veterinary Surgeon to join our team at Steffan Vets in Lampeter, a well-established practice serving the local community and surrounding areas of beautiful West Wales.

Professional and personal development is at the centre of our practice. We want to give you the support, exposure and opportunities you need to succeed. We share knowledge, build confidence, encourage clinical freedom and support you to develop your own interests and skillset.

Ideally, we are looking for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join our friendly and supportive team, although we would welcome applications from vets at all stages of their career.

Located in the heart of West Wales, Lampeter offers an exceptional lifestyle with stunning countryside, coastal walks and a welcoming local community. With the Wales Coast Path, beautiful beaches, mountains and historic towns all within easy reach, it is a fantastic place to live and work.

How You’ll Make a Difference

  • Saturday shifts are 8:30am-1:30pm on a rotational basis.
  • We provide flexible options for out-of-hours care through our external provider arrangements, with supportive inpatient care available within the practice where required.

  • Experience working in clinical practice with growing confidence in routine medical and surgical cases
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build effective relationships with clients and colleagues
