Waking Night Care Assistant

RJS Resourcing is recruiting on behalf of a care home in Penzance As a Waking Night Care Assistant, you will help residents feel safe, comfortable and well supported throughout the night. Package: * £14.91 per hour * Christmas bonus * Full induction and ongoing training * Opportunities for continued learning and development * Company pension * Free on-site parking * Supportive and approachable colleagues * The opportunity to join a care home entering a positive new phase The Role Your responsibilities will include: * Supporting residents with their individual night-time routines * Responding promptly and calmly to call bells * Assisting with personal care, toileting, repositioning and hydration * Carrying out regular wellbeing and safety checks * Following individual care plans and reporting any concerns * Accurately updating electronic care records * Helping to maintain a safe, clean and comfortable environment * Providing a clear and detailed handover to the day team About You * A calm, caring and patient approach * Previous experience in a healthcare capacity, all settings considered * The confidence to work independently when required * Good communication and observation skills * Basic IT skills for completing electronic care records * A reliable and responsible attitude * A genuine commitment to delivering high-quality, person-centred care * An understanding of safeguarding and health and safety, or a willingness to learn An Enhanced DBS check is required for this position.
