Waking Nights Support Worker Islington | Full Time | 37.5 Hours Per Week | Waking Nights Please note: Peabody is not a licensed UK sponsor and cannot offer visa sponsorship for this role. Make a Difference Through the Night Peabody is looking for a dedicated Waking Nights Support Worker to support young people aged 16-25 with high support needs. You'll play a key role in maintaining a safe, secure, and supportive environment overnight while helping residents progress towards independence. This is an opportunity to make a real impact by supporting vulnerable young people who may be experiencing homelessness, mental health challenges, or other complex needs. Key Responsibilities * Ensure the safety, wellbeing, and security of residents throughout the night. * Conduct regular building and welfare checks. * Respond appropriately to emergencies and incidents. * Manage tenancy-related issues, including noise, anti-social behaviour, and smoking. * Provide emotional support and reassurance to residents. * Build positive relationships and encourage a strong sense of community. * De-escalate challenging situations and manage risk effectively. * Complete accurate records, reports, and handovers. * Promote independence, safeguarding, and positive outcomes for young people. About You * Experience supporting vulnerable young people aged 16-25 within social housing, education, supported housing, or the charity sector. * Experience working with individuals with complex needs, including homelessness, mental health challenges, high-risk behaviours, or high vulnerability. * Ability to manage challenging behaviour while maintaining professional boundaries. * Strong understanding of safeguarding and trauma-informed approaches. * Good IT skills and experience managing complex caseloads. * Strong report writing, organisational, and time management skills.
