Waking Nights Support Worker Berkhamsted | Full Time | 40 Hours Per Week | Waking Nights Please note: Peabody is not a licensed UK sponsor and cannot offer visa sponsorship for this role. Make a Difference When It Matters Most Peabody is looking for a dedicated Waking Nights Support Worker to support young people aged 16-25 with high support needs during overnight hours. You'll play a vital role in maintaining a safe, secure, and supportive environment while helping young people progress towards independence. This is a rewarding opportunity to support vulnerable young people, providing reassurance, practical support, and safeguarding throughout the night. Key Responsibilities * Ensure the safety, wellbeing, and security of residents and the service overnight. * Conduct regular building and welfare checks. * Respond appropriately to emergencies and incidents. * Address tenancy-related issues, including noise and anti-social behaviour. * Provide emotional support and guidance to residents. * Build positive relationships and encourage engagement within the service. * Support and de-escalate challenging situations when required. * Complete accurate records, reports, and handovers for day staff. * Promote independence, safeguarding, and positive outcomes for young people. About You * Experience working with vulnerable young people aged 16-25 within social housing, education, supported housing, or the charity sector. * Experience supporting individuals with complex needs, including homelessness, mental health challenges, high-risk behaviours, or high vulnerability. * Ability to manage challenging behaviour while maintaining professional boundaries and positive engagement. * Strong understanding of safeguarding and trauma-informed approaches. * Good IT skills and experience managing complex casework. * Strong report writing, organisational, and time management skills.
