Warehouse Operative / Route Planner Croydon (CR0) £12.92 per hour 5 out of 7 days per week (rotating weekly shift patterns) 4:30AM – 2:30PM / 1:00PM – 10:00PM Temporary ongoing with the potential to become permanent after 12 successful weeks Immediate start available for the right candidate We are currently recruiting for a Warehouse Operative / Route Planner to join a busy logistics operation in Croydon. This is a varied role combining warehouse operations with route planning and transport administration. You will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day planning and coordination of delivery routes while also carrying out general warehouse duties to help ensure the smooth running of the operation. This position is ideal for someone with previous warehouse experience who has also worked in route planning or transport coordination and enjoys working in a fast-paced logistics environment. Key Responsibilities Planning and coordinating daily delivery routes Monitoring delivery progress and resolving routing or delivery issues Supporting drivers throughout their shifts and responding to operational queries Updating internal systems and maintaining accurate transport records Liaising with warehouse and transport teams to ensure efficient daily operations Carrying out general warehouse duties, including parcel sorting, loading, unloading and manual handling Assisting with stock movement and maintaining a clean, safe working environment Supporting the wider operation wherever required during busy periodsEssential Requirements Previous route planning experience is essential Previous warehouse operative experience within a fast-paced environment Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office and Excel Excellent organisational and communication skills Ability to work under pressure and prioritise workload effectively A flexible approach to rotating shifts and operational requirements Willingness to undertake both warehouse and office-based dutiesWhat's on Offer £12.92 per hour Immediate start available Ongoing temporary position with the opportunity to become permanent after 12 successful weeks Full-time hours with a well-established logistics company Long-term career opportunities for the right candidateIf you have previous route planning experience and are happy to combine this with warehouse duties, we'd love to hear from you.
