Job Description

We are seeking reliable and hard-working Warehouse Operatives for ongoing storage, picking, and dispatch operations based in Sudbury. Situated with straightforward access via the A131, A134, and B1508 corridors, this role offers steady weekly hours, clean working environments, and dependable long-term stability with temp-to-perm pathways for dedicated workers.

Key Details & Responsibilities

  • Hours: 37.5 – 45 hours per week (Monday to Friday standard days, rotational shifts, and overtime available)

  • Start Date: Immediate starts available following site registration and induction

  • Order Fulfilment: Accurately picking, packing, and wrapping goods using handheld RF barcode scanners and pick sheets

  • Goods In & Out: Unloading incoming deliveries, sorting freight, palletising stock, and staging outbound orders for courier dispatch

  • Stock & Housekeeping: Conducting regular stock counts, replenishing racking locations, and maintaining high standards of warehouse tidiness

  • Safety & Compliance: Adhering strictly to site manual handling techniques and standard health and safety protocols



Requirements

  • Experience: Previous experience in a warehouse, production, or logistics environment preferred (training provided for enthusiastic entry-level candidates)

  • Physical Fitness: Comfortable with manual handling, standing on shift, and lifting items up to 20kg

  • Work Ethic: Strong attention to detail, good timekeeping, and a dependable attitude

  • Certification (Advantageous): Counterbalance or Reach Forklift (FLT) licence is a plus, but not required

    Licence & Cards: Valid UK HGV Class 1 (Category C+E) licence, CPC qualification card, and Digital Tachograph card Experience: Minimum 1 year of Class 1 driving experience preferred (no major endorsements, maximum 6 points) Professional Attitude: High attention to safety, route planning, punctuality, and vehicle care Communication: Clear customer service skills for drop-offs and depot check-ins
