WAREHOUSE SECTION LEADER - BACKSHIFT

Warehouse Team Leader Full Time | Permanent | 40 Hours Per Week We're looking for a highly organised and hands-on Warehouse Team Leader to support the smooth and efficient running of a busy garden centre operation behind the scenes. Working at the heart of the business, you'll lead the warehouse team, ensuring deliveries are processed efficiently, stock is managed effectively, and products are in the right place at the right time. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced warehouse professional who enjoys leading people, maintaining high standards, and making a real impact on operational performance. As Warehouse Team Leader, you will: Oversee the day-to-day running of the warehouse and goods-in operation Lead, motivate, and organise the warehouse team to deliver exceptional standards Ensure all deliveries are checked, recorded, and processed accurately Maintain excellent stock control, storage, and stock rotation practices Support stocktakes and maintain accurate inventory records Maintain high standards of housekeeping, organisation, and safety Keep warehouse and yard areas clean, compliant, and well maintained Monitor equipment, fixtures, and warehouse facilities Communicate stock shortages, delivery delays, and potential risks promptly Conduct regular warehouse and storage area walkthroughs Facilitate timely replenishment of stock to the shop floor Support team recruitment, training, and development Assist with rotas, holiday requests, and payroll administration where required Previous warehouse, logistics, or goods-in experience with team leadership responsibility Strong stock control and inventory management experience (essential) Confidence using IT systems and warehouse processes A forklift licence (desirable but not essential) Family-run business with strong values and heritage Opportunities for growth and career development Generous staff discount scheme (following successful completion of probation) Free on-site parking Free uniform Additional day's holiday to celebrate your birthday Contract Type: Permanent, Full Time (40 hours per week) This is a physically active role involving regular manual handling, lifting, and time spent working both indoors and outdoors.
