Here at GXO, were looking for a Warehouse Team Manager to join our Screwfix contract, based in Lichfield. Youll play a key role in planning, coordinating, and supervising the activities of a team of operatives. Youll provide leadership, motivation, and training to ensure operational effectiveness and that all daily targets are met. This is a hands-on role in a dynamic environment where flexibility, problem-solving, and strong communication skills are essential.
This is a full time, permanent position, predominately working on a rotating day shift pattern, covering the hours of
06:00 to 14:00 and 14:00 to 22:00 . However, we do ask for some flexibility, this is logistics after all. Pay, benefits and more: Youll be paid a salary of up to
£33,100 per annum
and receive 33 days annual leave (inclusive of bank holidays). What you'll do on a typical day: Take full responsibility for all Health, Safety, and Environmental matters during assigned shifts, ensuring compliance at all times Provide strong leadership and support to colleagues through clear communication and proactive engagement Deliver consistent service levels, actively striving to exceed customer expectations Lead, manage, and communicate effectively across all warehouse departments Promote and uphold a culture of excellence, positive behaviours, and accountability Demonstrate a can-do attitude to motivate and inspire team performance Treat all employees with respect, actively promoting diversity and inclusion Identify, implement, and proactively manage continuous improvement initiatives Monitor, review, and ensure achievement of all internal and external KPIs What you need to succeed at GXO: Proven operational experience within a fast-paced environment Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise effectively Strong people management experience, including conducting disciplinary investigations and managing employee relations processes Good analytical and numerical skills, with the ability to interpret performance data and KPIs Excellent interpersonal, leadership, motivation, and planning skills Highly effective verbal and written communication skills Competent user of Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Word We engineer faster, smarter, leaner supply chains.
