Weekend Class 1 Drivers - Nights

HGV Class 1 Driver – Burton upon Trent People Solutions are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 1 Driver – Burton upon Trent to join our well-established client based in Burton upon Trent. This is an excellent opportunity for drivers looking for consistent ongoing work, excellent rates of pay, and a genuine pathway to a permanent contract with a reputable transport operation. This role would suit candidates with experience as an HGV Class 1 Driver, LGV Class 1 Driver, Category C+E Driver, CE Driver, General Haulage Driver, or Tramper Driver. Shifts • Monday to Friday (weekend work available) • Various early and late shifts available to suit Monday to Friday: £15.00 per hour As an HGV Class 1 Driver, you will receive: • Excellent hourly rates • Overtime available • Temp-to-perm opportunities for suitable candidates • Training and development opportunities • Free on-site parking • Access to an Employee Assistance Programme • Employee recognition scheme • Employee referral programme • Permanent opportunities available • Driver bonus scheme • 20 days annual leave plus 8 bank holidays As an HGV Class 1 Driver, your duties will include: • Completing general haulage deliveries throughout the UK • Carrying out pre- and post-journey vehicle inspections • Working flexible shifts, including nights out and tramping where required • Ensuring all goods are loaded and secured correctly before transport • Adhering to UK road traffic legislation and transport regulations • Communicating effectively with the transport office and customers • Assisting with loading and unloading when required using curtain-side and rear-loading vehicles • Completing all relevant transport documentation accurately To be successful as an HGV Class 1 Driver, you will need: • A valid UK Category C+E (Class 1) Driving Licence • A minimum of one year's Class 1 driving experience • A valid UK CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card • Good spoken and written English • Previous commercial Class 1 Driving experience • Experience with curtain-side trailers and nights out Training Provided • Industry-related training and ongoing support throughout your assignment If you are ready to take on this opportunity as an HGV Class 1 Driver, apply today by clicking the link below or contact our recruitment team for more information.
