Welder Fabricator

Position: Fabricator /Welder Location: Blaenavon Type of role: permanent The hours are 39 hours per week Monday to Thursday – 7.00 am – 4.00 pm and 7.00 am – 12.00 pm Friday Salary: up to £32448 We are now seeking to recruit Welder/ Fabricator for a busy manufacturing company based in Blaenavon to fabricate and weld of light to medium gauge steel in line with the detailed engineering drawing provided, occasionally liaising with other departments of the fabrication shop to ensure the fabrication is to the standard required.  Responsibilities: Read, interpret and follow engineering plans, drawings and instructions to ensure exact specifications of output Fabricating work in various gauge metals (light to medium) MIG welding (predominately mild steel) Tig welding (predominately stainless steel) Grinding/polishing fabricated items by using various handheld tools and/or dedicated material finishing machinery Perform quality checks to ensure products meet quality standards Requirements: Experience of working in a fabrication environment (engineering or metal work) Demonstrable experience of MIG and Tig welding and fabrication especially with welding mild steel and stainless steel Experience of reading and interpreting detailed engineering drawings Fabrication and Welding qualification or time served apprenticeship BENEFITS Competitive salary (dependent on qualifications and experience) Annual company pay review and individual merit award review Overtime available to workshop hourly paid employees Generous Bonus Scheme Contributory Pension Scheme 33 days annual leave (includes 8 days statutory bank holidays) plus our ‘Flexible Holiday Trading Scheme’ Life Assurance Scheme (after qualifying period) Income Protection Plan (after qualifying period) Employee Support and Perks Package Free car parking If you think this role might be of an interest, please contact Marta Kosno (phone number removed) and forward your CV to (url removed) Omega is acting as an Employment Agency in relation to this vacancy.
