Position: Fabricator /WelderLocation: BlaenavonType of role: permanentThe hours are 39 hours per weekMonday to Thursday – 7.00 am – 4.00 pm and 7.00 am – 12.00 pm FridaySalary: up to £32448We are now seeking to recruit Welder/ Fabricator for a busy manufacturing company based in Blaenavon to fabricate and weld of light to medium gauge steel in line with the detailed engineering drawing provided, occasionally liaising with other departments of the fabrication shop to ensure the fabrication is to the standard required.Responsibilities:Read, interpret and follow engineering plans, drawings and instructions to ensure exact specifications of outputFabricating work in various gauge metals (light to medium)MIG welding (predominately mild steel)Tig welding (predominately stainless steel)Grinding/polishing fabricated items by using various handheld tools and/or dedicated material finishing machineryPerform quality checks to ensure products meet quality standardsRequirements:Experience of working in a fabrication environment (engineering or metal work)Demonstrable experience of MIG and Tig welding and fabrication especially with welding mild steel and stainless steelExperience of reading and interpreting detailed engineering drawingsFabrication and Welding qualification or time served apprenticeshipBENEFITSCompetitive salary (dependent on qualifications and experience)Annual company pay review and individual merit award reviewOvertime available to workshop hourly paid employeesGenerous Bonus SchemeContributory Pension Scheme33 days annual leave (includes 8 days statutory bank holidays) plus our ‘Flexible Holiday Trading Scheme'Life Assurance Scheme (after qualifying period)Income Protection Plan (after qualifying period)Employee Support and Perks PackageFree car parkingIf you think this role might be of an interest, please contact Marta Kosno and forward your CV toOmega is acting as an Employment Agency in relation to this vacancy. xkybehq
