Welsh-Speaking Learning Support Assistant (LSA) Location: Newport (West) Contract Type: Part-Time (2 - 3 Days a Week) - Starting ASAP Are you passionate about supporting young learners? Aspire People is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Welsh-speaking Learning Support Assistant (LSA) for a fantastic school in the West of Newport. The position is part-time, initially for two - three days a week, and is set to begin at the start of September. About the School: This school are committed to providing a nurturing and supportive environment to help all students thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. It as an excellent ethos, is well led by the headteacher and is known for its child-centred approach, where the needs of each individual child are at the heart of everything they do. They Key Responsibilities: Provide one-to-one and small group support to students, both in and out of the classroom. Assist in the development and implementation of tailored learning plans. Promote inclusive learning and support the emotional and social development of children. Use the Welsh language within the school community. Work closely with the teaching staff to ensure each child's learning needs are met. Essential Skills and Experience: Fluent in Welsh, both written and spoken. Experience working with children, preferably within an educational setting. A compassionate, patient, and positive attitude toward supporting young learners. Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team. Desirable: Previous experience as a Learning Support Assistant or in a similar role.
