Wet Trade Multi-Skilled Trades Location: Essex Salary: Up to £38,325 per annum Contract: Full Time, Permanent The Opportunity An established maintenance contractor is seeking an experienced Wet Trade Multi-Skilled Operative to join its team delivering repairs and maintenance to residential properties across Essex. This is a varied role suited to someone with a strong background in plastering who is also confident carrying out a range of additional trade tasks. Working in occupied homes, you'll be responsible for delivering high-quality repairs while providing excellent customer service. Main Duties * Complete plastering works including skimming, patch repairs, rendering, screeding and general making good. * Undertake a variety of maintenance tasks across multiple trades, including: * Basic carpentry * Minor plumbing repairs * Wall and floor tiling * Internal painting and decorating * Carry out repairs safely, efficiently and to a high standard. * Update job information electronically using a handheld device. * Ensure work is completed within agreed timescales and in line with company standards. * Maintain a clean and safe working environment at all times. * Liaise professionally with residents and colleagues to ensure a positive customer experience. * Comply with all Health & Safety policies and procedures. * Provide support to less experienced team members where required. * Take part in an emergency or out-of-hours rota when necessary. Essential Skills & Experience * NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 (or equivalent) in Plastering or a relevant construction trade. * Strong practical experience in plastering, rendering, screeding and associated wet trades. * Competent in carrying out a range of general maintenance tasks across different trades. * Previous experience working within residential repairs, maintenance or social housing is desirable. * Good understanding of current Health & Safety legislation. * Full UK driving licence. * Own hand tools suitable for day-to-day maintenance work. * Good communication and problem-solving skills.
