Job Purpose
To develop new business opportunities, manage client relationships, and provide high-quality recruitment solutions within the white-collar sector.
The role will be a key part of the sales team, responsible for achieving individual and team targets while contributing to a positive, driven, and successful working environment.
You will be responsible for growing existing accounts, identifying and securing new clients, managing the recruitment process, and successfully placing candidates while maintaining high service standards and commercial performance.
Reporting To
Head of Sales & Operations / Directors
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Maintain agreed profit margins
Achieve and exceed monthly revenue targets
Provide accurate monthly forecasts reflecting current and future sales activity
Meet agreed business development and activity targets
Sales & Business Development
Generate new business through outbound calls, networking, referrals, and market research
Develop relationships with prospective clients and key decision-makers
Grow existing client accounts through account management and upselling opportunities
Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline
Utilise industry leads, referrals, and internal resources to identify opportunities
Maintain consistent sales activity levels through calls, meetings, and client engagement
Client Management
Build and maintain long-term client relationships
Provide a professional and consultative recruitment service
Conduct regular client meetings, reviews, and account development discussion
Office Activity
Carry out structured business development activity using CRM systems
Maintain accurate client and candidate records
Work closely with the resourcing team to identify and place suitable candidates
Manage candidate relationships throughout the recruitment process
Field Activity
Attend regular client visits and business development meetings
Develop new opportunities through face-to-face engagement
Build strong relationships with clients and candidates within the market
Generate referrals and further business opportunities
Compliance & Health & Safety
Follow GDPR requirements and internal compliance procedures
Ensure all placements meet required standards and regulations
Maintain accurate documentation and reporting
Escalate any concerns or issues appropriately
Key Skills & Experience
Previous recruitment, sales, or business development experience preferred
Strong communication and negotiation skills
Excellent organisation and relationship-building abilities
Commercially focused with a target-driven mindset
