Workshop Assistant

About Us We are a small independent picture framing business known for high-quality craftsmanship and personal service. We work with a wide range of clientsfrom artists and photographers to the general publiccreating bespoke framing solutions tailored to each piece. The Role Were looking for a hands-on, detail-oriented Picture Framer to join our team. This is a varied role covering all aspects of framing. Youll play a key part in maintaining our reputation for quality and care. Key Responsibilities Measuring, cutting, and assembling frames to a high standard Mount cutting (manual and/or computerised) Glass and acrylic cutting and handling Stretching canvases and mounting artwork Operating framing machinery and tools safely Repairing and re-framing existing pieces Maintaining a clean, organised workshop Assisting with stock management and ordering materials About You Experience in picture framing is preferred, but we will consider candidates with strong practical skills and a willingness to learn Good attention to detail and pride in producing high-quality work Strong customer service and communication skills Practical, hands-on ability with tools and machinery Ability to work independently and as part of a small team Reliable, organised, and able to manage time effectively What We Offer Friendly, supportive working environment in a small team Opportunity to develop and refine specialist skills Varied and creative workload Training provided where needed Please send your CV through Total Jobs and ensure it relates to (ie you've adapted it) the job you're applying for.
