Workshop Engineer – Heavy Plant Equipment Biggleswade | Permanent | Leading OEM Are you an experienced mechanical engineer looking to move into heavy plant and earthmoving equipment? Or perhaps you already work with heavy machinery and want a workshop-based role with a leading international OEM? This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly skilled engineering team at a busy workshop in Biggleswade, carrying out repairs, diagnostics, servicing and overhauls on a range of heavy plant equipment. You’ll be working on serious machinery, solving technical problems and carrying out high-quality repairs — without spending your working week travelling from site to site. The Role Working as part of an experienced workshop team, you’ll be responsible for diagnosing faults, repairing and maintaining heavy plant machinery to OEM standards. The workshop supports customers across the business and plays an important role in ensuring machines are repaired, prepared and returned to service safely and efficiently. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include: * Diagnosing mechanical, hydraulic and electrical faults * Repairing, servicing and overhauling heavy plant machinery * Carrying out Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDIs) * Inspecting machinery and identifying additional repair or maintenance requirements * Completing repairs to a high standard and in line with manufacturer procedures * Supporting other engineers...
