Workshop Engineer (Material Handling)

Job Description Workshop HGV Engineer Permanent day shifts - Basic salary up to £46,500 plus overtime This prestige client are part of a family run global group who have been providing first class fleet solutions many years. They operate locally, nationally and are a truly international brand. We are looking for a qualified and time served HGV Technician who can demonstrate a thorough understanding of commercial vehicle mechanical dynamics. You will be carrying out inspections to a varied and diverse fleet. You could be working on main dealer heavy goods vehicles (HGV#s) refuse collection vehicles, road sweepers, hook loaders, light commercials (vans), trailers and tippers- Routine (and preventative) maintenance MOT preparation Chassis and fabrication work Electrical and wiring inspections and corrections Ideally you will be fully qualified (City & Guilds), NVQ or equivalent. Additional accreditations such as IRTEC would be desirable, as would a HGV Class 1 or licence. HGV, heavy goods vehicle, commercial vehicle, RCV, refuse collection vehicle, tipper, sweeper, gritter, mechanic, vehicle engineer, vehicle technician, fitter, workshop.
