Due to continued growth, we're looking for an experienced Workshop Manager to join a leading organisation operating within the environmental services sector. The Workshop Manager Role
Reporting into the Fleet Engineer, you'll oversee the day-to-day operation of the workshop, ensuring the engineering team delivers an efficient, compliant and high-quality maintenance service.
You'll manage a team of HGV Technicians and a Workshop Supervisor, ensuring workloads are planned effectively, vehicle downtime is minimised and compliance standards are consistently achieved.
You'll also take ownership of fleet maintenance systems, workshop safety, labour planning and vehicle documentation, helping to drive operational performance across both the Bishops Cleeve and Bristol sites.
Workshop Manager Essential Skills
Previous experience managing an HGV or commercial vehicle workshop
HGV Class 2 licence (or above)
City & Guilds, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent HGV qualification
Strong knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical systems
Experience using fleet maintenance systems such as R2C
Understanding of LOLER inspections and Operator Licence compliance
Excellent leadership and communication skills
Ability to manage workshop performance and maximise vehicle availability
