Yard/FLT Operative Doncaster | £12.71 - £13.00 per hour | Monday-Friday | Temp to Perm We're recruiting on behalf of a leading builders' merchants distribution centre in Doncaster for a Yard/FLT Operative to join their busy and hardworking team. If you enjoy hands-on work, don't mind working outdoors, and have a valid Counterbalance FLT licence (valid In-house can be accepted), this is an excellent opportunity to secure a temporary to permanent position with a well-established business. Working hours: 7:00am - 5:00pm Temporary to permanent opportunity Join a friendly, supportive team Work for a well-established builders' merchants distribution centre Varied role with plenty of physical activity The Role This is a busy, physically demanding position where no two days are the same. You'll play a key role in keeping the yard running efficiently, ensuring stock is safely handled and customer orders are prepared for dispatch. This role is approximately: 70% manual yard duties 30% Counterbalance FLT operation Your Responsibilities Loading and unloading delivery wagons Operating a Counterbalance Forklift Truck safely and efficiently Moving building materials around the yard and warehouse Picking and preparing customer orders Keeping the yard clean, tidy and organised Carrying out general yard maintenance and housekeeping Working safely and following Health & Safety procedures at all times Supporting colleagues to ensure daily workload is completed What We're Looking For Essential Valid Counterbalance FLT Licence (in-house licences accepted if still valid) Previous experience operating a Counterbalance FLT Happy carrying out physically demanding manual work Reliable with a strong work ethic Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions Good awareness of health and safety Ideal Experience Builders' merchants Timber or construction supplies Distribution or warehouse environments Yard operative experience Loading and unloading vehicles Who Will Thrive in This Role?
