Job summary

North East Hants Neighbourhood Mental Health Teams are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Team Administrator to join our teams in the Brief Interventions Pathway.

The teams are moving through a transition to All-Age Neighbourhood Mental Health Teams to provide more joined up mental health care for our community and this role will be in person based at Aldershot Centre for Health with a Monday-Friday, 09:00hrs - 17:00hrs working pattern.For now, this exciting opportunity is for an enthusiastic Administrator to join the MHICS Team in Farnborough PCN.

The postholder will support the effective operation of MHICS by providing organisational, administrative and secretarial support to the team members.

The postholder is expected to act on their own initiative on a daily basis to ensure the effective running of the service, prioritising their own workload as required.

The post holder must be able to effectively and professionally liaise with, and negotiate between, all colleagues, service users and their families, members of staff from other external organisations and the public, demonstrating excellent communication skills and dealing with confidential information in an appropriate manner.

The postholder will support the effective operation of the Mental Health Integrated Community Service (MHICS) by providing organisational, administrative and secretarial support to the MHICS team members.

The postholder is expected to act on their own initiative on a daily basis to ensure the effective running of the service, prioritising their own workload as required.

Education/Qualifications/Training

Essential criteria

  • NVQ Level 4 in Business Admin or equivalent experience (4 years), and or
  • ECDL (European Computer Driving License) or equivalent knowledge and experience of using a variety of software programmes/packages.

Continuous Professional Development

Essential

  • Knowledge of administration and/or office procedures and evidence of Continuing Professional Development (CPD)

Previous Experience

Essential

  • Previous knowledge and experience of working in a busy office and/or customer care environment and undertaking a full range of administrative duties.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Essential criteria

  • 4 years experience of clerical and administrative work requiring a high degree of accuracy and working in accordance with policies/procedures
  • Good interpersonal, communication and reporting skills.
  • Ability to empathise, be supportive and sensitive to the needs of others
  • Ability to use a practical problem-solving approach in everyday situations.
  • Good IT skills, with an ability to navigate around various systems and software packages, such as Outlook, MS Office, the internet and databases.
  • Strong organisational and planning skills with the ability to reprioritise own work and that of others to ensure tasks are delivered on time
  • Ability to work effectively in a team, demonstrating accountability for own work and an ability to work on own initiative.
  • Ability to work flexibly as required, with the ability to travel independently between locations to fulfil the requirements of the post.
