Job summary
We are looking for a flexible, confident and empathetic person to join our friendly and dedicated Administration Team on a temporary basis to cover maternity leave. This is a part time position for an Administrator. Experience is desirable but not essential as full training will be provided. Working hours are Monday, Thursday and Friday 9am - 6pm with 30 minutes unpaid lunch break - 25.5 hours per week.
Main duties of the job
To provide secretarial and administrative support to the Practice and Management Team. The role is to work closely and under the supervision of the Management Support Officer whilst ensuring administrative systems are continually reviewed and updated. To ensure all admin duties are undertaken efficiently and promptly. To have a knowledge and understanding of Practice policies and procedures and to work in accordance to written protocols surrounding the admin team.

We are a small practice based in North Ormesby, we have 4 GPs, 1 Nurse Practitioner, 1 Practice Nurse and 1 Health Care Assistant supported by our dedicated Reception / Admin Team. Job responsibilities
Complete and process all referrals from all clinicians
Prepare and complete all private requests including but not limited to medicals and copies of records and reports and form completion
Processing of invoices and collection of payment for any private work
Completing the links daily
Actioning any admin tasks
Assisting the reception team with any backlog relating to admin or the Practice
Assisting with QOF and other recalls including but not limited to Immunisations and Smears
Processing of bowel screening and AAA screening and retinal screening.
To ensure the doc library is up to date
Processing all post-natal reviews and arranging appointments as required.
To attend the systmone and ardens training as required.
To deal with incoming calls relating to admin from patients or hospital or social services and other external organisations as required.
To help in the process of amendments to patient demographic details
Assisting with PPA claims when necessary to cover annual leave or sickness when appropriate
Clinical coding
Scanning/record attaching medical notes and letters

Qualifications
Essential
- Grade A to C in English and Maths
- IT skills
- Telephony skills
Desirable
- Administrator experience
- Worked in medical environment either GP practice or Hospital
Experience

- Experience of working in a public facing role
- Experience of working in an administrative role

- Experience of working in General Practice
