The main duty of the team is to take receipt of the safeguarding referrals submitted to the local authority, assessing risk, implementing interim safeguarding measures before making a decision around next steps. In addition to this, social workers within the team hold a small case of complex s42 enquiries. We work closely with partner agencies and safeguarding leads.
