Main duties of the job
What You'll Be Doing
- Preparing and serving patient meals in a safe, hygienic, and professional manner.
- Supporting patients by providing a friendly, welcoming, and compassionate service.
- Working closely with ward and kitchen teams to ensure meals are delivered accurately and on time.
- Ensuring individual dietary requirements and preferences are met.
- Maintaining clean, organised pantry and food service areas in line with health and safety standards.
- Assisting with stock control, stock rotation, and ensuring food quality standards are maintained.
- Delivering meals and provisions to wards and clinical areas when required.
- Supporting supervisors and managers in achieving service excellence and operational targets.
- Completing quality checks, audits, and documentation to maintain high service standards.
- Working flexibly across different hospital departments and food service areas.
