“Delivering great experiences for the community in a Truly Northern way”.
About the Venue:
The Broadfield is an independent pub in Nether Edge, boasting a rich 19th-century heritage. We pride ourselves on offering a wide selection of cask ales, craft beers, and fine spirits. Our restaurant serves a diverse array of dishes, ranging from Asian-inspired cuisine to traditional pub favourites, including our award-winning pies. We regularly host events such as supper clubs and quiz nights, creating a vibrant community atmosphere. During the warmer months, our spacious beer garden becomes a popular destination, offering a relaxed outdoor setting for enjoying drinks and meals.
Overview of the Role
Our Chef de Parties are the glue that hold our kitchens together and are key in supporting the Sous Chef & Head Chef.
You are enthusiastic, upbeat, and friendly. Like us, you’ll be passionate about good quality food and not be afraid to get stuck in.
You’ll be supported in your career by an experienced team, in an exciting, fast- paced and dynamic kitchen, with the opportunity to gain experience working across all sections.
Day-to-day, the role provides variety, with duties that include food preparation, assisting other chefs in the team, helping with deliveries & restocking, stock rotation, cleaning duties, & maintaining kitchen and food safety standards. You’ll embrace our fresh food culture, be involved with stock control, and ensure we meet food safety and cleaning standards.
Ideally with 1 years’ experience in a similar role, as a line cook, commis chef, or all-round experience as a Chef De Partie. Most importantly, you’ll be hands-on with a “can do” attitude, and able to work flexibly, including evenings and most weekends.
