Children's Project Leader – ClevedonPosition: Full TimeContract: PermanentSalary: £14.36 - £15.25Base Location: Clevedon(The service currently operates as an outreach model, so this role involves travelling around the local area.)Drivers are essential due to the travel required.About the RoleWe're looking for an experienced, compassionate, and motivated Children's Project Leader to join our Clevedon team, supporting children and young people aged 5–18.This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to take the next step in their childcare career, combining hands-on support with leadership responsibilities.The purpose of this role is to provide high-quality, child-centred support that respects each child's views, wishes, and individuality. As a Children's Project Leader, you'll lead by example, ensuring children feel safe, valued, listened to, and supported to achieve their goals and aspirations. You'll also play an important role in guiding and developing colleagues, helping to maintain excellent standards of care across the service.Support is delivered in community and home settings and includes helping children access education, develop independence skills, engage in meaningful activities, and build positive relationships. Activities may range from community outings and social events to sensory activities, arts and crafts, and life-skills development.Some children access 24-hour overnight support, so the role may include supporting with personal care, medication, and wellbeing needs. Full training will be provided.What You'll Be DoingProviding personalised support tailored to each child's needs, preferences, and goalsPromoting independence, confidence, and life-skill developmentSupporting children with daily living tasks including personal care, meals, medication, education, and routinesPlanning and delivering meaningful activities that support development and wellbeingSupporting children to access their local community and social opportunitiesBuilding positive relationships with children, families, social workers, health professionals, and other stakeholdersMaintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with safeguarding and regulatory requirementsSupporting, coaching, and mentoring Support Workers to deliver high-quality careContributing to team meetings, quality improvements, audits, and inspectionsSupport is provided across a 7-day rota, including evenings, weekends, and overnight shifts.What We're Looking ForExperience supporting children and young people in a care, support, or childcare settingA caring, patient, and child-focused approachStrong communication, organisation, and leadership skillsThe ability to support and develop colleagues within a team environmentReliability, resilience, and flexibilityA commitment to safeguarding and promoting positive outcomes for childrenA full UK driving licence and access to a vehicleA Level 3 Childcare qualification or willingness to work towards onePlease note that we are unable to offer visa sponsorship for this role; applicants must therefore have the right to work in the UK.Why Join Brandon Trust?Brandon Trust is a charity supporting people with learning disabilities and autism to live life to the full.
