An exciting leadership opportunity in maternity transformation

Are you an experienced, dynamic, and enthusiastic clinical leader, who is passionate about driving safer, more personalised care for women and families? Do you have experience working at a system or regional level, with a proven ability to lead and give technical advice across all function of the ICB. Ensuring that strategic and operational decisions are underpinned by robust clinical evidence, governance and population health priorities. If so, we would love to hear from you.

We are seeking an obstetric and neonatal consultant to join our ICB, Senior Leadership Team on a fixed-term 18-months contract. This is a fantastic opportunity for a highly motivated individual to play a pivotal role in aligning clinical insight with system transformation, commissioning, quality improvement, and service delivery.

Main duties of the job

About the role:

This role will support CE ICB to provide senior clinical leadership that supports quality, safety, and transformation across the perinatal pathway. Perinatal transformation will be led by the Quality Improvement & Patient Team. This role will include advising the ICB and supporting individual providers when appropriate. This role will play a pivotal role in supporting understanding of best practice, benchmarking current position and advising on change. This role offers the opportunity to champion the needs of families across central East community.

Job responsibilities

The post holder will provide strategic leadership and operational oversight to deliver high-quality, safe, equitable and sustainable services across the system. They will lead system integration, fostering collaboration across organisations to improve pathways, outcomes and population health. The role is responsible for driving quality improvement, reducing unwarranted variation and ensuring services meet national and local priorities. They will act as a steward of resources, ensuring effective use of workforce and financial investment, while supporting place-based delivery that addresses local needs and inequalities. The post holder will maintain robust governance, accountability and performance management arrangements, ensuring delivery of agreed objectives, assurance requirements and system outcomes
