The pharmacy clinical trials service at Barts Health has seen significant investment over the last few years and the evolving team of pharmacists, pharmacy technicians and assistants manage an everexpanding portfolio of clinical trials. We have an exciting opportunity for a pharmacy technician to join the team and develop skills within clinical research.
We are looking for a self-motivated and enthusiastic person who has proven organisational and communication skills and exceptional attention to detail. You will be responsible for the setup andmaintenance of trials being run at Barts Health, and ensure they are being managed according to the regulatory requirements for research.
Main duties of the job
This is a permanent position, based at St Bartholomew's Hospital, however, post holders will be expected to work across all Barts Health sites.
The role is full time, Monday-Friday (with additional weekend and bank holiday commitments). Fulltraining and development opportunities will be provided.

Qualifications
Essential
- Level 3 Diploma in Principles and practice for pharmacy technicians or equivalent.
- Registration as a Pharmacy Technician with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)
- Accuracy Checking Pharmacy Technician (ACPT) qualification
- LM 2 or equivalent team leader
Desirable
- Specialist technical / Management modules or equivalent experience in Aseptic preparation
- Practice Supervisor, Train the trainer or equivalent qualification
- ILM Level 3 Leadership and Management qualification or equivalent
Experience
Essential
- Proven experience of good performance in previous posts.
- Previous significant experience of working in clinical trials
Desirable
- Previous experience of managing staff
- Previous experience of working in Aseptics
