Community Sports Facilities Coordinator

North Northamptonshire Council is seeking a motivated and organised Community Sports Facilities Coordinator to play a leading role in the management, development and promotion of community access to sports pitches, courts and associated facilities across the area. This is a 4 year fixed term position working within the Communities and Leisure Service, you will coordinate the day-to-day operation of sports facilities, including bookings, pitch allocations, inspections, administration and invoicing, ensuring facilities are safe, well-maintained and effectively utilised.The role involves building and maintaining strong relationships with sports clubs, leagues, schools, town and parish councils, national governing bodies and community organisations to maximise participation in sport and physical activity. You will support the development and implementation of community use agreements, help resolve facility access issues and work collaboratively to ensure facilities meet the needs of local communities.You will also undertake regular inspections of pitches and ancillary facilities, monitor quality and playability standards, and support the planning and delivery of seasonal maintenance programmes, renovations and remedial works. Through effective partnership working and facility management, you will contribute to the Council's wider health, wellbeing and active communities objectives.This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys working with people, is passionate about community sport and can make a real difference by creating more opportunities for residents of all ages and abilities to participate in physical activity.
