Help create a safer future for every child.

We are looking for a Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead to play a pivotal role in protecting and supporting young people at Neale-Wade Academy, a caring and ambitious 11 to 18 academy at the heart of the March community.

Working closely with the Designated Safeguarding Lead, this role sits at the centre of the academy’s safeguarding provision, coordinating support for vulnerable learners, building trusted relationships with families and external agencies, and helping to ensure that every concern is acted upon with care and professionalism.

This is an opportunity for a compassionate, resilient and highly collaborative individual to make a meaningful difference every day while helping to strengthen a culture where safeguarding is understood to be everyone’s responsibility.

Summary of Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate safeguarding and child protection processes, ensuring concerns are identified, recorded and acted upon promptly.
  • Lead and coordinate referrals, early help interventions and multi-agency support for vulnerable learners and families.
  • Maintain accurate safeguarding records, monitor at-risk pupils and provide safeguarding reporting to senior leaders.
  • Support staff through advice, guidance and safeguarding, PREVENT and online safety training.
  • Build effective partnerships with families, schools and external agencies to improve outcomes and keep children safe
