We strive to share best practice and work in cohesive, collaborative and innovative ways. Our ethos is 'Better Never Ends'.

The Hive College is based in Erdington, Birmingham and is a Specialist Further Education College for learners aged 19-25 years with Special Educational Needs and disabilities. In November 2023 we were graded Outstanding in every single aspect of an Ofsted Inspection.

Our adopted college motto is ‘Believing is achieving’, which resonates through everything we do at The Hive and it’s at the heart of what we want our students to aspire to. We constantly strive for excellence, seeking innovative and collaborative ways of delivering the curriculum. The college is a very happy and positive working environment. All staff are friendly and very supportive, we have excellent facilities and a superb environment to support teaching and learning and prepare our students for adulthood.

We offer three individualised study programmes for students with PMLD, SLD, MLD and ASD. Our study programmes focus on preparation for adulthood, which include:

  • Employment
  • Independent living
