Our Team:Help Shape the Future of InclusionHalton Borough Council and NHS partners are seeking innovative, passionate and highly skilled professionals to join our new Experts at Hand Team, an ambitious and transformative service designed to strengthen inclusion, build capacity within mainstream settings and improve outcomes for children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).This is a unique opportunity to work as part of a multidisciplinary team alongside the other EPs in service, that brings specialist expertise directly into schools, early years settings and colleges, ensuring that the right support is available at the right time.Through coaching, modelling, consultation and practical intervention, our EPs as Experts at Hand will help educational settings develop the confidence, skills and knowledge needed to meet a diverse range of needs.Hours: 37 hours per weekYour Contributions:Apply psychology to promote positive change for children and young people within the context of children/young people and adults, in schools /settings and families through consultation, training and overall service delivery – available to schools, settings and families through core time, Experts at Hand and traded models.Promote Inclusion, Educational achievement / attainment, and Social and Emotional development.To contribute, through the application of psychology, to the social, emotional and mental health of Halton residents, delivering on the Boroughs commitment and strategy.To develop a specialist practitioner role in line with Halton Borough Council key priorities and EP interests.To work within the SEND guidance supporting the EHC process Our Offer:Aside from working with a great team, our employees have access to a fantastic range of benefits, including:A generous annual holiday allowance starting at 34 days per year (including bank holidays), increasing with long service with the option to purchase an additional four-days of unpaid leave for our Annual Christmas ClosedownMembership of our defined benefit, salary-linked Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS) with generous employer contributions3 x Salary Life Cover via Local Government Pension SchemeInvestment in your personal development Free Car Parking at HBC sites Flexible working arrangementsExtensive employee benefits platform including discounted shopping, car leasing, gym memberships, wellbeing hub and Employee Assistance Programme.
