Facilities Manager 

Location: Leicestershire
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Day Shift

We are currently looking for an experienced Facilities Manager to oversee facilities, maintenance and infrastructure across two sites, one based in Leicestershire and looking after another remotely with occasional visiting. 

This is a hands-on management role, responsible for ensuring sites remain safe, efficient, compliant and fully operational.

The Role

  • Manage day-to-day facilities and site maintenance operations.
  • Lead, support and develop the Facilities Team.
  • Manage planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance.
  • Ensure plant, equipment and infrastructure are maintained to required standards.
  • Plan and coordinate maintenance works, including obtaining quotes and communicating plans.
  • Manage contractors, permits and relevant documentation.
  • Work closely with Production and other departments on facilities requirements.
  • Manage utilities, site services and infrastructure projects.
  • Monitor contractor performance and service levels.
  • Manage the facilities and maintenance budget.
  • Support audits, inspections and statutory compliance.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Travel to the another site as required (2.5 hours away)

About You

You will have:

  • Proven experience as a Facilities Manager, ideally within a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in precision engineering or a similar highly regulated industry would be advantageous.
  • Strong knowledge of maintenance planning, TPM and statutory compliance.
  • Good practical maintenance and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience managing contractors, budgets and multiple projects.
  • Experience using continuous improvement techniques.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills, including confidence communicating at senior level.
  • Flexibility to travel between sites and adapt working hours when required.
