Do you want to feel like you are making a difference? Are you looking for a calm environment, with few incidents of disruptive behaviour? Are you seeking a better work/life balance?
Esland Bedford School is an independent SEMH special school for up to 70 children aged 8-18. The school provides education to day pupils and via our unique Turning the Curve provision, to young people who have been disengaged from education for significant periods of time.
We aim to maintain a nurturing and accepting environment for young people who have not had their needs met in other settings. Likewise, we also aim to provide a work/life balance to staff not available in larger schools.
Due to expansion, we are seeking a Food Technology teacher to deliver lessons at Key Stages 3 and 4, including the planning and delivery of BTEC Home Cookery Skills at Key Stage 4.
The role would be suitable for teachers with experience of teaching food technology and of working with pupils with Anxiety, Emotionally based School Avoidance, ASD and/or ADHD.
We would encourage NQTs seeking an environment different to mainstream or graduates with experience of working in similar settings interested in qualifying to teach to apply.
The nature of the role is best understood by visiting our school, and we would encourage any prospective applicants to contact school to arrange an appointment to visit.
