About us

Orchard Surgery is a long established, friendly 9000 patient practice in the market town of Horsham, West Sussex. We are recruiting a salaried GP following a colleague's relocation.

We are a systmOne practice. Since adopting Total Triage in June 25, we have cut routine waits from 5 weeks to 2.5 weeks and see all urgent patients on the day. Our standard GP face to face appointment is 20 minutes, recognising the need to address increasing levels of medical and social complexity in our population.

We are educators of the whole multidisciplinary team, encouraging our staff to develop their skills and extend their roles.

We are leading the development of a Women's Health Hub for Horsham District neighbourhood, running PCN menopause group consultations, a community menopause cafe and information evenings. We are keen to innovate and took part in the NHSE Acceleration programme in 2022/23.

We are one of two practices in Park and Orchard PCN each with a co-clinical director. PCN staff include paramedics, a social prescriber, mental health practitioners, care coordinators, a first contact practitioner (physio), clinical pharmacists and pharm techs. In house remote clinical pharmacists provide medication reviews and we have a robust annual recall system for long-term conditions.

We are engaging in the development of the new Horsham Integrated neighbourhood Team, working with our community and statutory colleagues to improve patient care.

We are actively engaged with our PPG.
