A leading multi-disciplinary property and construction consultancy is seeking a Graduate Architectural Technologist to join its expanding Nottingham team. The practice has recently invested in a modern new office, providing a high-quality, collaborative environment designed to support continued growth across the Midlands. The Nottingham office has a strong and growing focus on public sector and secure infrastructure projects, including extensive work across the Defence and MOD estate. The consultancy has a long-established reputation for delivering complex, secure and mission-critical facilities for UK and US Defence clients, supported by a dedicated Defence and Security team with specialist knowledge in secure infrastructure, aviation and high-security environments. Due to continued project wins, with over 50 infrastructure projects, the team is now looking to appoint a Graduate Architectural Technologist. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious graduate to launch their career in a specialist sector, with structured support and exposure to nationally significant projects from day one. The Role You will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team supporting the delivery of a wide range of Defence and secure-infrastructure projects, including feasibility studies, refurbishments, new-build secure facilities, and nationwide programmes of work. Under the guidance of senior colleagues, your responsibilities will include: Producing technical drawings and specifications, developing your detailing skills as you progress Supporting coordination with internal engineering, surveying and planning teams Learning and applying Defence standards, security protocols and UK Building Regulations Assisting with project delivery from concept through to construction Working within an accredited secure IT environment alongside SC-cleared colleagues Requirements Degree (or equivalent) in Architectural Technology or a related discipline, with a keen interest in building a career in the field Eligibility to obtain SC Clearance (essential for Defence projects); existing clearance is advantageous Working knowledge of Revit, gained through study or placement experience Good understanding of UK Building Regulations and construction processes, or a strong willingness to learn Ability to work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary environment Good communication and organisational skills, with a proactive and eager approach to learning Previous placement, internship or work experience in a construction or design environment beneficial but not essential What's on Offer Salary £27,500–£32,000 depending on experience Opportunity to work on high-profile Defence and secure-infrastructure projects from the start of your career Mentoring and on-the-job training from experienced colleagues Support towards professional development and progression to chartered status (e.g. CIAT) Modern new Nottingham office with excellent facilities Multi-disciplinary environment with architecture, engineering, surveying and planning under one roof Long-term career development within a growing regional team How to Apply If you are a graduate Architectural Technologist looking to start your career within the Defence and secure-infrastructure sector, please contact Ashley Johnson at Conrad Consulting on (phone number removed)
