They are looking for an experienced and talented Graduate Town Planner to join their team in their Colchester offices. Benefits for the role of Graduate Town Planner include: Highly competitive salary Contributory pension scheme Generous holiday allowance Professional development Personal developmentDuties for the role of Graduate Town Planner: Assisting with the preparation and submission of planning applications across a range of development types Undertaking planning appraisals and assessing development opportunities Supporting senior colleagues with strategic land promotion and development projects Preparing planning statements, reports, representations and other planning documentation Researching planning policy and legislation and advising on its implications Liaising with local planning authorities, statutory consultees, consultants, clients and other stakeholders Assisting with planning appeals, enforcement matters and planning committee work Monitoring planning applications and managing projects through the planning process Attending site visits, client meetings and planning meetingsRequirements for the role of Graduate Town Planner: A degree and/or postgraduate qualification in Town Planning, Spatial Planning, Urban Planning or a related discipline Previous experience working within a planning consultancy, local authority or similar planning environment A good understanding of the UK planning system and current planning policy Experience of preparing or assisting with planning applications and supporting documentation Strong written and verbal communication skills Excellent organisational and time-management abilities Good attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple deadlines A commercially minded and solutions-focused approach The confidence to communicate with clients, consultants and planning authorities A willingness to learn and take responsibility for your own development A full UK driving licence would be advantageous due to the nature of the roleIf this role interests you or if you are interested in searching for other roles relating to Town Planning please feel free to contact Ben Moore on (phone number removed) or email (url removed).
