About the Role
This recent graduate vet surgeon role is based at Charter Veterinary Hospital in Barnstaple, North Devon, with work across three local sites in Barnstaple, Pilton and Mullacott. The position is full time, 40 hours per week over 4 days, with a 1 in 6 Saturday rota on a 12 hour shift and TOIL provided. There is no OOH as dedicated night staff are employed.
You will be joining a small animal first opinion practice with a varied caseload and a team that shares knowledge freely. CVS says new and recent graduates are enrolled onto its Graduate Programme, with structured support, an experienced clinical mentor, and CPD days covering clinical and non-clinical skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Work as a first opinion vet within the Charter Veterinary Hospital team
- See cases across the Barnstaple, Pilton and Mullacott sites
- Contribute to a varied small animal caseload
- Take part in the 1 in 6 Saturday rota, with 12 hour shifts and TOIL
- Work alongside vets, nurses, PCAs and receptionists in a collaborative setting
Requirements
- At least 12 months post graduate experience
- Suitable for new and recent graduates enrolled on the Graduate Programme
- Willingness to work across all three local sites
