Job summary

At St Lukes Hospice, we believe in delivering compassionate, dignified, and holistic care to people living with life-limiting illnesses. Were looking for a dedicated Bank Healthcare Assistant to join our team and make a real difference in the lives of patients and their families.

Main duties of the job

As a Healthcare Assistant, youll work under the direction of a Registered Nurse to deliver high-quality, individualised care that respects each persons dignity, choice, and individuality. Youll be an integral part of a multi-disciplinary team, supporting patients physical, emotional, and spiritual needs. This role is for 24 hours a week.

Job responsibilities

Support patients and their families as part of a caring and committed team. Assist in providing holistic palliative care, including end-of-life care. Help create a safe and supportive environment for patients and staff. Communicate effectively with patients, carers, and colleagues. Contribute to accurate and respectful documentation of care. Participate in post-bereavement care and support. Recognise when to refer concerns to senior staff.
