Homecare Assistant

Join our Lancaster & Morecambe Bay team as a Homecare Assistant. Whether you are balancing family, study or another commitment, we build flexible rotas around your availability, with the same pay, training and support as our full-time team.

Pay: £14.50 to £16 per hour, plus 35p per mile paid mileage.

Hours: Part-time and flexible. Choose the days and patterns that work for you, including evenings and weekends if you prefer. Full-time, around 35 to 40 hours per week on a planned rota, including some evenings and alternate weekends.

What you will do

• Support clients in their own homes with personal care, washing, dressing and continence care, always with dignity.
• Help with medication, meal preparation, mobility and keeping the home safe and comfortable.
• Provide companionship and emotional support. You are often the friendly face a client sees that day.
• Follow each client's care plan and record clear, accurate notes after every visit.
• Spot changes in a client's health or wellbeing early and flag them to the office team.

What we are looking for

• A caring, patient and reliable nature. Experience is welcome but not essential, as full training is provided.
• A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle (mileage is paid at 35p per mile).
• The right to work in the UK and willingness to complete an enhanced DBS check.
• Good spoken and written English to follow care plans and keep clear records.
• Flexibility to work some mornings, evenings and alternate weekends on a planned rota.
