Housekeeping Assistant - 37.5 hours

Job summary

The Housekeeping Assistant will play an important role within Jewish Cares Catering & Hospitality team at Otto Schiff on the Maurice and Vivienne Wohl Campus in Golders Green, helping to maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment for residents, visitors and colleagues. Working 37.5 hours per week, five days out of seven from Sunday to Thursday, you will work flexibly across shifts of either 7.30am4pm or 8am4.30pm. The role involves maintaining high standards of cleanliness throughout the home, including residents rooms, communal areas and staff facilities, while following infection control, health and safety and cleaning procedures. Previous cleaning or housekeeping experience is essential, along with experience using floor and carpet cleaning machines

Main duties of the job

We are looking for a reliable, hardworking and detail-focused Housekeeping Assistant to join our team at Otto Schiff in Golders Green. You will play an important part in creating a clean, comfortable and welcoming environment for residents living with dementia, visitors and colleagues. Working as part of our Hospitality team, you will clean residents rooms, communal areas and staff facilities, while maintaining high standards of hygiene, infection control and safety. You will need previous cleaning or housekeeping experience and be confident using floor and carpet cleaning machines. Job responsibilities

Our multi-award-winning organisation is looking to recruit a Housekeeping Assistant to join our Hospitality team. This role may include some weekend working.

The role of Housekeeping Assistant will involve the delivery of Hospitality Services within our Campus, Care Homes, and Community Centres to excellent standards.

Working Hours

This role is working 37.5 hours per week, 5 days out of 7, Sunday to Thursday, with flexibility required to work either of the following shifts:

7:30am 4:00pm 8:00am 4:30pm

Candidates must be able to work flexibly across these shift patterns according to the needs of the service.

You will have a key role ensuring we deliver an excellent service to our service users, creating an inviting and pleasant environment.
