• We have a brand-new exciting role whereby my client is seeking a highly skilled HR & Health & Safety Advisor.
• This position is designed to provide essential day-to-day HR support and lead health and safety initiatives across the business, catering to approximately 50 personnel.
• This is a unique opportunity for a proactive individual to shape and develop the role, making a significant impact on our operations.

Day-to-day of the role:

HR Responsibilities:

• Manage the entire recruitment process, including creating job adverts, conducting interviews, issuing offer letters, and overseeing onboarding.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and HR systems.
• Support managers in handling day-to-day employee relations issues such as discipline, grievance, absence management, and performance evaluations.
• Advise on, implement, and update HR policies and procedures in line with current employment law.

Health & Safety Responsibilities:

• Conduct regular workplace risk assessments and revise them as necessary to ensure a safe working environment.
• Oversee the company's health and safety management system to ensure compliance with legal standards.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses to prevent future occurrences.
• Organise and deliver health and safety training, inductions, and toolbox talks.
• Maintain and update the company's health and safety policy and risk assessment register.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Proven experience in Human Resources and Health & Safety roles.
• Strong understanding of employment law and health and safety regulations.
• Excellent organisational and leadership skills.
• Ability to work independently and make informed decisions.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Relevant certifications in HR and health and safety (e.g., CIPD, NEBOSH) are highly desirable.
