KS2 Individual Needs Assistant (INA) Uckfield, East Sussex | Full-Time | Immediate Start | £95–£110 per day Urgent 1:1 SEN opportunity in a lovely Uckfield primary school We’re working with a lovely primary school in Uckfield that urgently needs an experienced Individual Needs Assistant (INA) to provide 1:1 support to a KS2 pupil with challenging and complex SEN needs. This is an opportunity for someone who is confident working with children who require a high level of individual support and who can provide a calm, consistent and patient approach throughout the school day. This is an urgent role, so we are looking for someone who is immediately available and ready to start as soon as possible. The role Providing dedicated 1:1 support to a KS2 pupil Supporting the pupil with their learning, engagement and day-to-day school experience Helping the pupil manage challenging situations and remain regulated Building a positive and trusting relationship with the pupil Working closely with the class teacher and wider SEN team Supporting classroom routines and positive behaviour Adapting your approach to meet the pupil’s individual needs Essential requirements Due to the urgency and nature of this role, you must: Have an enhanced DBS on the Update Service – this is essential Be immediately available to start Have previous experience working with children with SEN/additional needs Be confident supporting children with challenging or complex needs Have UK classroom or educational setting experience Be reliable, consistent and able to commit to the role Have the right to work in the UK The ideal candidate We’re looking for someone who is calm, resilient and genuinely committed to supporting children with additional needs. You don’t need to have all the answers, but you do need to be patient, dependable and confident enough to handle challenging situations while maintaining a positive relationship with the pupil.
