Learning Support Assistant Guildford, Surrey | £93 per day | Full-Time | Monday to Friday | 8:30am–3:30pm A specialist SEN/SEMH school in Guildford is looking for a caring, patient and resilient Teaching Assistant to support pupils with Autism/ASD, SEMH needs and behaviours that can challenge. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who enjoys building strong relationships with young people and helping them feel supported, engaged and confident within the school environment. About the Role Support pupils with Autism, ASD, SEMH and behaviours that can challenge Provide 1:1 and small-group support where required Help pupils engage with learning and daily activities Support pupils with emotional regulation and positive behaviour Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils Work closely with teachers and the wider SEN and pastoral team What We’re Looking For Experience supporting children or young people with SEN, Autism/ASD or SEMH Confidence managing behaviours that can challenge A calm, patient and consistent approach Strong communication and relationship-building skills Resilience and the ability to remain calm in challenging situations A genuine passion for supporting young people with additional needs Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant, Behaviour Mentor, Support Worker or similar would be beneficial.
