NHS Contracts & Tenders Manager

Our client is an established and growing organisation looking for an experienced NHS Contracts & Tenders Manager to take ownership of NHS tenders, framework agreements and associated contract activity.  This newly created role would suit someone with strong experience of NHS procurement who is confident managing complex tender and framework processes from initial opportunity through to submission, award and ongoing contract management. About the Role As NHS Contracts & Tenders Manager, you will be responsible for coordinating and managing NHS and wider public-sector tender opportunities, working closely with senior management and teams across the business to produce accurate, high-quality and compliant submissions. You will manage the complete tender and framework lifecycle, keep ahead of upcoming opportunities and ensure existing contracts and frameworks are effectively maintained. The NHS Contracts & Tenders Manager will also act as an internal point of expertise, helping the wider business understand procurement requirements, contractual obligations and relevant compliance considerations. Benefits To £55,000 depending on experience Occasional office travel as required High level of autonomy and ownership Opportunity to work closely with senior management Growing and established organisation NHS Contracts & Tenders Manager – Responsibilities Take ownership of NHS tender and framework submissions Manage the full process from identifying opportunities through to submission, award and ongoing contract administration Manage tender activity through Find a Tender, Jaggaer One and other relevant procurement platforms Coordinate responses to NHS and wider public-sector procurement opportunities Work collaboratively with internal teams to gather information, evidence and supporting documentation Produce clear, accurate and high-quality tender responses Coordinate relevant sustainability, ethical procurement and supplier compliance requirements Maintain accurate contract and framework records Monitor contractual obligations, performance measures and key deadlines Manage contract variations, extensions and renewals Provide guidance to internal stakeholders regarding framework requirements and supplier obligations Identify potential contractual and compliance risks Keep up to date with upcoming frameworks and identify potential opportunities for growth NHS Contracts & Tenders Manager – Skills & Experience Previous experience managing NHS tenders and framework submissions is essential Strong understanding of NHS Supply Chain and public-sector procurement processes Experience managing contracts and frameworks following successful award Experience using Find a Tender, Jaggaer One or similar eProcurement platforms Experience working within a regulated or compliance-led environment Understanding of NHS procurement requirements including Carbon Reduction Plans, Evergreen assessments and Modern Slavery requirements Excellent written communication skills with previous experience producing detailed tender responses Strong commercial awareness with the ability to interpret complex tender and contractual requirements Excellent organisation and attention to detail Ability to manage multiple submissions, priorities and deadlines simultaneously Confident working with stakeholders across different areas of a business Relevant procurement, commercial, business or legal qualifications would be advantageous CIPS membership would be desirable If you are an experienced NHS Contracts & Tenders Manager looking for a flexible role where you can take ownership of the complete tender and framework process, we would be keen to hear from you.
