Job summary

We are seeking an exceptional and inspiring senior leader to join our Adult Social Care Mental Health Services as an Operational Service Delivery Lead for East Staffordshire. This is a pivotal leadership opportunity within Midlands Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust (MPFT), where you will play a key role in shaping and delivering high-quality, integrated mental health and social care services for some of the most vulnerable people within our communities.

As a member of the Integrated Leadership Team, you will provide strategic and operational leadership across Adult Social Care Mental Health Services, driving innovation, performance, and service excellence. You will lead a highly skilled workforce within one of the largest integrated health and social care organisations in the country, ensuring that people remain at the centre of everything we do.

Main duties of the job

East Staffordshire is home to a rich and diverse population, encompassing urban, rural and culturally diverse communities, each with distinct strengths, challenges and needs. We are looking for a leader who understands the importance of inclusive practice, reducing inequalities, and developing services that respond effectively to the needs of all communities. You will be committed to promoting equality, diversity and inclusion, ensuring that services are accessible, responsive and culturally competent.

A key aspect of the role involves working collaboratively with our colleagues in Staffordshire County Council under our successful 17-year Section 75 Partnership Agreement, strengthening integrated working arrangements and fostering strong relationships across health, social care, local government, voluntary sector and community partners. You will be expected to champion partnership working, influencing across organisational boundaries to improve outcomes for individuals, carers and families.

This is a challenging, rewarding and highly visible leadership position that offers the opportunity to drive transformational change, influence service development and contribute to the delivery of the Integrated Care System's ambitions across Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent.

About us

Come and work with us at our award-winning NHS Trust, leading the way for trying new and better ways of working to help improve life for our local communities.

We have around 9,000 staff who provide physical and mental healthcare, support for people with learning disabilities, and adult social care across Staffordshire, Stoke-on-Trent, Shropshire, and Telford & Wrekin. We also run regional and national services, including help for new parents (perinatal care), eating disorders, forensic services, sexual health, and support for people in prison with mental health, drug, or alcohol problems.

We offer great career development for both clinical and non-clinical roles, with ongoing training and support to help you learn and grow.

We are 'United in our Uniqueness' and committed to creating a workplace where everyone feels welcome and can be themselves, no matter their background or identity. We want our staff to feel supported and valued, and we aim to build a team that reflects the communities we serve. Together, we can make sure every voice is heard, and every difference is respected.
