Perioperative Practitioner | Nottingham | Tollerton | Full Time | No Nights

At Spire Nottingham Hospital, were looking for a Scrub Nurse or ODP to join our high-performing theatre team. Youll be part of a supportive environment delivering a wide range of orthopaedic procedures, working alongside experienced consultants and multidisciplinary teams.

This is an excellent opportunity to develop your skills in a well-equipped private hospital setting, with a strong focus on quality care, efficiency, and patient experience.

Please note that access to your own transport is essential due to limited public transport links.

Main duties of the job

The Role

Youll play a key role in delivering safe, high-quality perioperative care, including:

  • Scrubbing for a range of orthopaedic procedures (e.g. joint replacements, arthroscopy, and minor procedures)
  • Supporting the theatre team across the perioperative pathway
  • Preparing equipment and ensuring theatres are safe and compliant
  • Working collaboratively with surgeons, anaesthetists, and wider MDT
  • Contributing to clinical quality, governance, and continuous improvement
  • Supporting junior staff and contributing to a positive team culture

  • Registered Nurse or Operating Department Practitioner
  • Experience working in theatre, ideally in an orthopaedic setting
  • Strong clinical skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • A proactive, patient-focused approach
  • Commitment to maintaining high clinical standards

Desirable:

  • Orthopaedic scrub experience
  • Private healthcare experience
