As Assistant Principal, you will have high expectations and be focused on delivering excellent outcomes for all pupils. You will play a key role in ensuring that all pupils, particularly those who are disadvantaged or have additional needs, are fully included and supported to thrive academically, socially and emotionally.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the strategic leadership of the academy, securing excellent outcomes, high attendance, strong behaviour and positive personal development for all pupils
- Support the Principal and Primary Headteacher in establishing and sustaining a culture of high expectations, inclusion, safeguarding and continuous improvement
- Be an active member of the Senior Leadership Team, contributing to strategic decision-making and school improvement
- Analyse attainment, progress, attendance, behaviour and safeguarding information to identify priorities and drive improvement
- Support the Principal and Primary Headteacher in promoting a culture that is nurturing, ambitious and inclusive
- Be an excellent classroom practitioner and maintain a significant teaching commitment, reviewed annually in line with school priorities
- Lead and contribute to the development, implementation and evaluation of the curriculum
- Demonstrable experience of having significantly raised attainment in a challenging classroom environment
- Experience of having led, or significantly contributed to, the success of a school through its leadership, ethos, teaching and learning and results
- Experience and understanding how to improve and sustain an effective behaviour policy and/or teaching and learning in diverse school environments
- Qualified to degree level and above
- Right to work in the U.K.
- Hold QTS (qualified teacher status)
